I Still have Hair Left!

After a totally ridiculous week of technological problems on top of issues I'd already experienced...I'm back to almost where I used to be...I have a new laptop on the way, I'm working on a new desktop, installed the latest and greatest Adobe software...but my scanner can't speak to this new stuff, so there's THAT.
UGH.
Need I also mention that this is my busiest time of year for design work? Tension was running high around here until Sleeping Man threatened me with a rubber mallet to knock me out. I guess just the threat was enough to snap me out of it!
I just posted weeks worth of stuff and now to post this week's and I should be a lot happier.
IF ONLY!
The Diva chose "All Boxed Up" by Alice Hendon for this week's tangle focus. I got plenty of inspiration for this from Alice's post, as you can see.

All Boxed Up
It deserves another try, sometime. Today's not that day. I also need to explain my nearly unhealthy fascination with boxes, but today's not the day for that, either. Suffice it to say, boxes put me through college, in a roundabout kind of way...that's a good start...
Over at IAST, there's a lot of Bubble action. I felt I was channeling my inner Lori Byerly and if you haven't seen her work, it deserves a peek.

Bubbly
Thanks for checking in on me. I've been yanking my hair out and thankfully, I'm far from going bald.
If you want to see what else I've done lately, go here or here. And don't forget to check out the TwobyTwobyTuesday challenge! Consider trying it out yourself!

  1. You have my sympathy for your tech nightmare week. It's amazing how I muddle through it all sometimes. I had a manual typewriter throughout college and didn't even really learn how to touch type until my husband brought home our first computer in 1987. I've learned to ask Mr. Google a lot of things before asking my 20 something son because I really don't appreciate the eye rolling.

I think you described part of my response to the Diva's challenge this week as a "schizoid mess", but I think that was meant, kind of, as a compliment. I see you managed to escape your boxes at least a tad as one of them has wavy lines. Baby steps. As long as we're having fun----right?

PS: I anxiously await your tell all about your "nearly unhealthy fascination with boxes". ;-)

    1. Dear Suzanne, I'll be sure to let you know when I have a decent explanation available for my love of all things corrugated and slightly anithesis to organization. My left brain happily goes about drawing grids and boxes..and then? Yes, a little wave, curl or spiral appears to muck things up a bit. Yay, baby steps!
I live by my computer and can say I'm happily muddling about today. Tommorrow is yet a mystery! Have a brilliant day! c

    1. Thank you, Annemarie! I drew it one way, but it really wanted to be 90 degrees counter-clockwise. You just never know with these things, do you? Have a brilliant day! c

  4. Two wonderful Tiles. It is wonderful to still be able to create with the tensions of populating new platforms with software. My hat is off to you and Sleeping Man for surviving this tumultuous time. Good job and well done

    1. Dear David, it's BECAUSE of the tensions that I create...it's been tense, but we're getting through it. Sleeping Man is very good at patience and creating calm. And thank you! Have a brilliant day! c

  5. Nice tiles in spite of computers trying to win. They're just like that. Stay strong!

    1. Thank you, Jean. Yes, these little marvels are evil and have a mind of their own. Shhh, don't let them hear me say that! Still, where would be without all this technology? It was tedious there for a bit, but things are humming along just nicely. For now.
      Have a brilliant day! c

  6. Both tiles are nicely done. I must say that I would probably have put the tiles off until things weren't so hectic, but then I remember that I can actually calm down with drawing. I'm interested in hearing about the box fascination as well, sounds intriguing. I used to draw all of my little stick figures in boxes at one time and some of the pieces were even quite large. I think I have broken out of that pattern now thankfully. But you have done an excellent job in spite of the computers! Great work :)

    1. Many thanks, Lezli! We carry on in spite of those evil doers, don't we? And yes, drawing helps with the carrying on...
Ah! Boxes. I do have to put that story down, but I'm afraid it's not as exciting as I may have made it out to be. Have a brilliant day! c

  7. When I saw your It's a String Thing contribution, I wondered if we were somehow related. :) Love the simplicity of it. Thanks also for your kind words. (Hope your techie problems have been solved.)
