It's About Time

Imagine if you will.... Oops, wrong show.

If you are of a certain age, you may remember a short-lived situation-comedy called, "It's about Time." Don't worry if you don't, as many of my friends peer at me warily when I mention it. I've been known to rattle off the theme song as if it were on the telly last night, and it has been fifty years since it aired! Eee ghad!

At the EIM, the theme this week is wormhole, a theoretical space-time construct that would allow travel across the universe. So, if we're talking time travel, let's start by going back to 1967:

Alrighty, then!

Let's see if I can improve this post ever so slightly with my contributions to the Diva, numbers 292 and 293:
Quartet of Bar Coasters
The objectives here were to use "Keeko" as in the top left and "Eazy" as in the bottom right. That was kind of fun. Soon I'll release them into the wild....

At the TwobyTwo, the theme is yarn. I've been knitting as therapy. (I would prefer to crochet, but it hurts my fingers; they don't quite curl like they did before the accident).

Yarn
I'm making washcloths, or they could be used as dishcloths. The yarn is 100 percent cotton and these knit up at ten inches. I'm trying to sell them to help with my hospital bills, if anyone is interested. Email me at 1xeritas@gmail.com and I'll give you the details.

In different news, what has been captivating my time is making woobies. Through a friend, I found out a clinic at Luke Air Force Base has been looking for blankies. I have a stack almost ready to deliver. I'm so happy they can put these to good use.

Keeping these fingers VERY BUSY! It's not like I have work to do! HA!

    1. I know that Zen and beer aren't really meant for each other, but the coasters are a fun canvas and easy to drop out there. Thank you, Deanne! c

  2. Ok love all the work, the take on the inchie is different and I love that! When did you get hurt? I am sorry for that for sure. Maybe you should get an etsy page for the towels. You know that people also make scrubbers using shower scrubbies and knitting them together! So worth it. I will be emailing you very soon about the towels. Take care my friend

    1. Thank you, Free! I broke my wrist in eight places in a bizarre gardening incident back in February. I'm feeling it today as the barometric is dropping wildly and the titanium bits are my personal weather station. Appreciate your kindnesses! c

  3. A very different slant on your lovely work this week, what on earth is a Woobie ?

    1. Thanks, Wendy! A woobie is just another name for a baby blanket, a blankie, a lovie, what child psychologists clinically and antiseptically call a security object (blah!). Every kid, no matter their age, should have one.
The name comes from the movie, "Mr. Mom." c

  4. Well, I found the answers to a lot of questions that popped up in my mind as I read your post. I'm sorry about your wrist. Those kind of thing can certainly mess up your life. And, I didn't know what a woobie was either. As far as that inchie, no, I don't remember it, but admire your thought process in using it for wormhole. And, those are fun coasters too!

  8. 'it's about time, it's about space, it's about 'something something' the human race' - wasn't imogene coco in that series? - I remember it! and I can't remember the words but I can sing the theme song - great idea for your inchie. never heard of woobies! I knit dish cloths too for christmas presents - apparently they are good for scrubbing floors!
